specific details e.g. coursework marks - Guest - 01/08/2006

Hi

Do you think it would be OK to add my GCSE DT coursework mark in my personal statement? I'm pretty proud of it since I got full marks.....but it's GCSE, it doesn't seem like such a big deal and it might look weird all on its own in the essay that doesn't have that many specific marks like that.

It's generally advised that you don't put your marks on your personal statement, but I guess you could work it in if you're talking about DT somewhere e.g. "have a particular interest id DT and achieved full marks in my GCSE exam".

Stuff like this goes better in the reference though - find out who's writing yours and discuss it with them.
