RE: Useful student resources
http://www.letsuni.org/information/ (Student accommodation information guides)
LetsUni provides a range of information guides on various areas of student accommodation, such as contracts and tenancy agreements, damage deposits / bonds (including how to get your deposit back!) and safety and security. Each guide is broken down into individual topics, which means you don't have to wade through pages and pages to find out what you're after, but pretty much everything you're likely to need to know is covered there. LetsUni also have a service to find accommodation and student-to-student message boards for finding flatmates, but at the time of writing they're only available in Nottingham, so won't be of much use to students elsewhere in the country. However the main information guides are all generic, and will be useful wherever in the country you're studying. |

I got my moving boxes from this place to move all my stuff into halls. They were delivered well fast and offer a student discount pack. Theyve also got this kickass new playhouse for those evenings when you are 'staying in' hehe |

RE: Useful student resources
depends on what you consider a helpful resource for students. The most helpful resources are Wikipedia and SparkNotes, however, they do not offer custom essay writing services.

RE: Useful student resources
I discovered a very useful website which provides information on a range of issues including; what higher education is and why study a higher education course, how to choose a degree course and university, the application process and whether it is right for you. A range of guidance notes relating to other topics such as accommodation, tuition fees and financial support are also included on the site. In addition the website details information for overseas students and those looking into post graduate study.
The web site can be found at http://www.hero.ac.uk I found the website very useful, check it out and let me know whether you think its any use to you. |

Get Rid of cigarettes expences Once and For All
Two old ladies were outside their nursing home, having a smoke when it started to rain. One of the ladies pulled out a condom, cut off the end, put it over her cigarette and continued smoking.
Lady 1: What's that? Lady 2: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet. Lady 1: Where did you get it? Lady 2: You can get them at any drugstore. The next day ... Lady 1 hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The guy looks at her kind of strangely (she is, after all, over 80 years of age), but politely asks what brand she prefers. Lady 1: It doesn't matter as long as it fits a Camel. p.s. find cheap cigarettes. |

RE: Useful student resources
If you need a website that you can use to store all your bookmarks, search almost anything, set your community profiles (myspace, facebook) etc. and access them from any computer, I highly recommen Squup (http://www.squup.com). I like it so much I actually set it to be my homepage.
Squup is a great service especially for students, since many of us (like me) use more than 1 computer daily. You can also access your bookmarks using your mobile phone, which is nice. Oh and you can easily add links from your friends squup page to your own squup, I share links through Squup with my friends almost daily. :-) I'v tested many similar sites but I prefer Squup, it's easy to use and looks nice. |

RE: Useful Student Resources
I found my job at Wimbledon Tennis through http://www.student-jobs.co.uk. Anyone else who is thinking of doing the fortnight this year my advice is not to leave it too late. The job I went for has already stopped taking applications and I have heard that they sometimes finish their recruitment by March.
