A site where you can meet ppls who currently go to your uni or are planning on going there, great for finding out information about the area, uni or course that you're interested in.

http://www.freewebs.com/graduatemedicine/

This site has been specially designed to help you through the mine field of applying to read medicine as a mature or graduate student. It aims to cover entry requirements for all course types, the different types of course available and the financial mine-filed that is prolonged studying and/or giving up a well paid job.

RE: Useful student resources
http://www.upmystreet.com

Although scrolling past all of the adverts is a pain it gives information on the demographics of an area, crime rates and type, unemployment levels, average salaries, deaths of pedestrians from traffic plus all sorts of extra detail if you're interested. All compared to either the national average or another place/postcode (so you can compare crime rates to your home town if you're considering a move from a small town/village to a city, or compare one university with another, or even one campus/hall of residence with another)

Admin edit: to fit with front page display
