hey guyz
i jus finshed my AS examz (maths, economics, accounting and business studies, droppin BS 4 da 2nd yr), and im aiming to get at least 2 A's ad 2 B's.
I am currently stuck between choosing Accountin & Finance or Economics. I was set on economics until I visited the lse open day, and the subject talk for A&F explained that the course wasnt mainly accounts (as i first assumed) and instead had more to do with the financial element, with units such as analysis and valuation, corporation finance, a few economics units, some maths and even 1 management unit (possibly more, all depending on optional units). So it is alot more varied than I thought and seemed to leave my options open for a career, and the subject talk at lse explained that there are many different careers that it could lead to, many of which sounds like ones I would like to enter.
However i also know that employers for top jobs like to see economics as a degree and rate it highly.
I enjoy both subjects and can imagine myself continuing either one, so im abit stuck right now. Any advice at all would be very appreciated.
If it helps, I would like to get into a finance related job where I can use my interest in mathmatics highly. I would rather avoid the standard accounting as I do not enjoy this as much as I do when, for example, analysing and evaluating figures and things like that. Or any career really that is quite heavily mathmatical.
Thankyou in advance
