For anyone looking for some more interesting background information about apply2uni there's a case study on the business side of things at http://www.nbv.co.uk/index.aspx?pageid=165:
Matt says he gets a real buzz from doing something new, or finding something that has not been tapped into yet, so in June 2005 he started up Apply2Uni. The business has grown quickly, and has now reached the stage where they need to take on employees. It took £700 in its first week, and the turnover of Apply2Uni remains very healthy. This has allowed Matt to pay off his inital investments, which he describes as his highest high, and given him the confidence to progress his business ventures.
Using pay-per-click advertising, and a website backed up with HSBC payment facilities on-line, Apply2Uni offer 3 levels of service, centred around the personal statement part of university application forms. All of the work and support is carried out by experienced people.
1) £15 - six examples that have been used with success directly emailed to the client
2) £70 - editing service that proof-reads, improves, and makes recommendations to what had been written by the client
3) £150 - full writing service. The client is emailed a questionnaire; the answers then form the basis of the personal statement, which is written from scratch by Apply2Uni. This option is proving very popular.
Apply2uni were advertising on Studential for a couple of months last year, so it's interesting to see how they're getting on.
