Cos im starting a medicine course at cardiff this month the BMA have sent me a load of stuff saying i can have free membership for a year if i give them my direct debit details. im confused - if its free why do they need my details? has anyone out there done this before? if i sign up for a free 1st year am i locked in to pay for subsequent years of can i unsubscribe after year 1? if anyone understands this please help cos i rang them and they left me more confused than i was before!!! thanks

Hiya I got the same thing.

Most university BMA is present in induction and you can talk to them there.

Why they need your debit card number is because frist year is free but after that there is a ayment.

I beleive you can unsubscribe after a year, but unsure about that.
