Here is open discussion on positives and negatives of TV and Internet and what you like to have and to use. I think that TV is my best choice as no need for Internet connection. Saving of money. While using Internet, if you want to see any video it requires you to download and wait even after having fast internet speed. While for TV, it is not the case. And for the variety of news, it is available on TV screen also.

I'd argue that althoguh internet is more expesive fore a fast connection you still have to pay TV licence if your using TV, and instead of downloading there and many things like BBC Iplayer and Youtube that allow you to stream programs without waiting. another good feature would be the fact what you watch isnt dictated by the TV guide you can what any show you want whenever you want.

As much as people say that internet is more entertaining than TV, it really isn’t. With TV all you have to do is tune in to a station, sit and do absolutely nothing. You "veg" and are happy to do it. This is why it holds the #1 spot.
Internet ranks #2 simply because you actually have to do something to enjoy it, i.e. typing and using your mouse. And you actually have to think to get things done on it as well.

The internet is more convenient (on demand etc), but the news on the TV is still better quality

Awestwood, I strongly agree with you. Moreover I want to say that television advertising engages children only as passive consumers who just watch and listen. While the Internet engages children interactively, allowing them to react to the content provided by the marketer.

For television news it seems that on demand services are the big drawing for people. Social networking and online video sites consumers are a couple of ways how people are spending their time online. Both internet and television news are good in their ways.

I like to use TV to watch news because TV can broadly elaborate the local news rather than the Internet or i can say i can easily get local news on my TV. I prefer Internet for the latest news and updates from around the world.

The noise level goes even when a commercial comes on. Where as news on the Internet is largely unregulated, and knows no national boundaries. In other words, almost anything goesOn the Internet, companies create their own programming. They build online environments all create associations with their own products, establish brand loyalty, and gather information on their current and future customers

Actually I read news on the internet because you can read the live update and in the Television news you need to wait you interesting part to the news but on the net you just read your news.that is why I like to red news on internet.
