RE: Mental Health Nursing
Oh Yes! I do not mind at all, I will keep checking at least once every day and if anyone is seeking any assistance with regards to any possible questions etc, I am willing to help. Obviously some questions may differ but at least one can always have a general idea of what kind of questions to expect.
I wish you all the best with your studies and hope you will enjoy your time at uni. |

RE: Mental Health Nursing
Mental Health Nursing Questions.
1. Should adults with mental health problems and a history of challenging behavior be cared for in the community? 2. You see a patient verbally abuse another nurse. What is your response? 3. What approaches should be used to reduce the incidence of violence? 4. What changes in behavior might be associated with a resident becoming depressed? 5. What skills do you have which might be useful in managing other non – qualified staff? 6. Does a regular routine have any benefit for adults with mental health problems? 7. What would you see as the implications of the ‘National Framework for Mental Health’? 8. How would you rate your communication skills? |

RE: Mental Health Nursing
Your main tool as a mental health nurse will be the strength of your own personality and communication skills. You will need to empathise with the people you are dealing with and show warmth and care about them. Regrettably there is still some stigma attached to mental illness. Combating this and helping the individuals and their families deal with it is a key part of the job.

RE: Mental Health Nursing
According to me I think that this is one of the most complex and demanding areas of nursing. A mental health nurse may be part of a team working with people who may have been excluded from services through drug or ***Filtered*** abuse. As a nurse working in mental health you would work as part of a team.
